Το όνομα “Wildcat” (αγριόγατα) ανακύπτει κατά καιρούς στη γκάμα της Winchester, ως ένα βασικό μοντέλο τουφεκιού σε διαμετρήματα περιφεριακής πυροδότησης, όπως το δημοφιλέστατο 22 Long Rifle.
Από το 2019 ως τώρα το όνομα φέρει ένα ελαφρύ, πολυμερικό, ημιαυτόματο που η Instabul Silah κατασκευάζει για λογαριασμό της Winchester.

Δύσκολες παράμετροι

To Wildcat ανταγωνίζεται για μία θέση στην αγορά όπου επί χρόνια κυριαρχεί το αμερικανικό Ruger 10/22.

Τα ημιαυτόματα τουφέκια μικρού διαμετρήματος, είναι κυρίως ψυχαγωγικά όπλα -υπό την έννοια ότι θα χρησιμοποιηθούν για άτυπη σκοποβολή ή περιστασιακό κυνήγι και έλεγχο επιβλαβών.
Απευθύνονται σε ένα κοινό, το οποίο αναζητά ένα φθηνό όπλο. Παράλληλα όμως πρέπει να είναι ανθεκτικά, ώστε να υποστούν την “κακομεταχείριση” από πλημμελή συντήρηση και καθαρισμό, αφού οι ιδιοκτήτες σπάνια έχουν τη θέληση και γνώση για κάτι περισσότερο. Μια δεύτερη δυσκολία είναι ότι το κοινό αναμένει να λειτουργούν αξιόπιστα με μια τεράστια ποικιλία φυσιγγίων.
Το .22LR παράγεται συνεχώς από τα τέλη του 19ου αιώνα και είναι το δημοφιλέστερο στον πλανήτη με τάξη μεγέθους διαφορά από το επόμενο.
Σχεδόν κάθε κατασκευαστής φυσιγγίων στον κόσμο έχει τη δική του συνταγή με μικροδιαφορές ως προς τις διαστάσεις, την ισχύ και τα υλικά που χρησιμοποιεί.
Αν και είναι λίγο ευκολότερο για ένα επαναληπτικό ή μονόσφαιρο όπλο να “καταπίνει” όλα αυτά τα διαφορετικά φυσίγγια, η σχεδίαση ενός ημιαυτόματου απαιτεί πολλή μελέτη και προσοχή. Η μέχρι πορεία του Wildcat δείχνει ότι τα κατάφεραν στο να φτιάξουν ένα οικονομικό, αλλά και αξιόπιστο όπλο.

Μια φρέσκια ιδέα με αρκετά “δάνεια”

Πολλά νέα όπλα αποτυγχάνουν λόγω κακοσχεδιασμένων γεμιστήρων.
Η ομάδα της Winchester πήρε τον αξιόπιστο γεμιστήρα του Ruger 10/22 και σχεδίασε το τουφέκι της ώστε να λειτουργεί με εκείνον.
Tο κέρδος είναι διπλό: χρησιμοποιούν μια γνωστής αξίας πλατφόρμα που υπάρχει επί δεκαετίες και παράλληλα εκμεταλλεύονται την υποστήριξη και διαθεσιμότητα.
Δεκάδες εναλλακτικές λύσεις με χωρητικότητες από 10 ως 30 φυσίγγια βρίσκονται στην αγορά και σε λογικές τιμές.
Ως επιπλέον μπόνους, οι γεμιστήρες που η εταιρεία πουλά με το Wildcat επιτρέπουν στο κλείστρο να μένει ανοικτό μετά την τελευταία βολή.
Ο κορμός του τυφεκίου είναι από πολυμερές κρατώντας το βάρος στα 1,95 κιλά.
Το κοντάκι σχηματίζει ένα τριγωνικό κενό για να κερδίσει λίγα ακόμη γραμμάρια . Το πάνω μέρος του κορμού καλύπτει μια δημοφιλής ράγα picatinny που επιτρέπει την εύκολη τοποθέτηση οπτικών. Συμπληρωματικά, ένα σετ ρυθμιζόμενων στοχάστρων είναι μόνιμα προσαρμοσμένα στο όπλο.
Μια βραχύτερη ράγα στο κάτω μέρος του υποφυλακτήρα δέχεται εύκολα δίποδες ή φακούς. Υπάρχουν δύο διαφορετικά μήκη κάνης, 40 και 45 εκατοστά. Βιδώνονται πάνω στον άνω κορμό και μπορούν να αφαιρεθούν από το χρήστη.

Μηχανισμός: νέα εκτέλεση με παλιά έμπνευση

Η λειτουργία βασίζεται σε ένα κλείστρο που παλινδρομεί κόντρα σε δύο επανατατικά ελατήρια. Με την πυροδότηση, υποχωρεί προς τα πίσω και επιβραδύνει μέχρι που σταματά στην οπίσθια πλάκα.
Με κάποιο τρόπο, θυμίζει τα ανάλογα απάρτια από το SA-22 του Browning που οι άνθρωποι της Winchester γνωρίζουν επί έναν αιώνα.
Όλο το σύστημα κλείστρου και γεμιστήρα εδράζει πάνω σε μια κασέττα.
Πιέζοντας δύο πλευρικά ωτία δεξιά και αριστερά στον κορμό, το σύνολο βγαίνει χωρίς εργαλεία για καθαρισμό. Για ακόμη μεγαλύτερη ευκολία, ο μοχλός όπλισης υποχωρεί και διευκολύνει την αποσυναρμολόγηση.

Περισσότερες έξυπνες “πινελιές”

Το κυρίως σώμα του όπλου είναι γκρίζο, όμως η Winchester χρησιμοποιεί κόκκινο χρώμα για να δείξει τα χειριστήρια.
Τα κουμπιά απελευθέρωσης του γεμιστήρα, αλλά και ο αναστολέας του κλείστρου που βρίσκεται εμπρός από τη σκανδάλη είναι έντονα κόκκινα, τραβώντας την προσοχή του χρήστη.
Η αποσυναρμολόγηση της σκανδάλης γίνεται χωρίς εργαλεία. Στο πίσω μέρος του κορμού υπάρχει ένα στρογγυλό, κόκκινο κουμπί.
Όταν πιεστεί προς τα μέσα, απελευθερώνει το συγκρότημα της σκανδάλης/κλείστρου.
Το κενό που μένει μετά την αφαίρεση είναι μιας πρώτης τάξεως είσοδος του οβελού καθαρισμού, ώστε να καθρίζεται η κάνη από την πλευρά της θαλάμης.
Στην αριστερή πλευρά του κορμού υπάρχει και ένα κόκκινο κουμπί που απελευθερώνει το ανοικτό κλείστρο.
Ειδάλλως, ο χειριστής μπορεί απλά να σύρει το μοχλό όπλισης για το ίδιο αποτέλεσμα.
Μέσα στο πέλμα του όπλου φυλάσσονται δύο κλειδιά άλλεν. Το μικρότερο είναι για τη ρύθμιση των σκοπευτικών, ενώ με το μεγαλύτερο αποσυναρμολογείται η κάνη από τον κορμό. Το γεγονός ότι μεταφέρονται πάντα πάνω στο όπλο απλοποιεί τον καθαρισμό και τη συντήρηση.

Για όλους πλην ημών

Αφού προορίζεται για κυνήγι και ψυχαγωγική σκοποβολή, η κάνη του Wildcat έρχεται με έτοιμο σπείρωμα στο στόμιο για προσαρμογή σιγαστήρα. Διότι με εξαίρεση την Ελλάδα, κάτι τέτοιο θεωρείται απόλυτα φυσιολογικό, ειδικά όταν κανείς “μυεί” αρχάριους στη χρήση των όπλων.
Στην “κανονική Ευρώπη”, το τουφεκάκι της Winchester είναι εξαιρετικά επιτυχημένο, αφού συνδυάζει πολλές αρετές με κόστος κοντά στα 500 ευρώ.
