Τι είναι αυτό που έστρεψε τον πρωταθλητή μας στην σκοποβολή; Πόσες οι δυσκολίες του πρωταθλητισμού; Ποια η σχέση του με το κυνήγι; Μας τα αποκαλύπτει όλα σε μια άκρως ενδιαφέρουσα συζήτηση που είχαμε μαζί του. Πόση προσπάθεια χρειάστηκε και πόσες θυσίες για να καταφέρεις να φέρεις το χρυσό μετάλλιο στην Ελλάδα;

Καταρχάς ευχαριστώ πολύ για την όμορφη αυτή συνέντευξη. Ασχολούμαι με τη σκοποβολή από μικρό παιδάκι, έχω αφιερώσει τη ζωή μου, 25 χρόνια τώρα είμαι σε αυτόν τον χώρο, οπότε καταλαβαίνετε ότι η προσπάθεια είναι πολλών χρόνων. Είναι το 2ο χρυσό που φέρνω στην Ελλάδα σε παγκόσμιο κύπελλο και εύχομαι να έρθουν και άλλα γιατί η δουλειά και η προπόνηση που κάνω είναι πόλη σκληρή και τίποτα δεν είναι τυχαίο.

Που αφιερώνεις τη νέα επιτυχία σου;

Την επιτυχία μου την αφιερώνω στην οικογένεια μου, στα παιδιά μου και σε όλους όσους με στηρίζουν και με βοηθούν πνευματικά και πρακτικά.

Τι σε έκανε να στραφείς στο συγκεκριμένο άθλημα;

Το κυνήγι ήταν αυτό που μου έμαθε την σκοποβολή καθώς κυνηγούσα από 8 χρόνων με τον παππού μου. Η σκοποβολή ακολούθησε την κυνηγετική μου δραστηριότητα. Τώρα δεν βγαίνω πολύ για κυνήγι, λόγω προετοιμασίας, αν και θα το ήθελα. Χρειάζονται όμως θυσίες για τις μεγάλες επιτυχίες.

Tι είναι αυτό που κάνει την διαφορά στο συγκεκριμένο άθλημα; Η προετοιμασία, η εμπειρία, το όπλο ή το φυσίγγι;

Την διαφορά εκτός από τα φυσίγγια και το όπλο, την κάνει η πολύ καλή προετοιμασία, η εμπειρία και η στήριξη που έχεις προκειμένου να καταφέρεις να πετύχεις. Εγώ ευτυχώς τα έχω όλα τα παραπάνω και μπορώ να κοιτάξω με αισιοδοξία στο μέλλον.

Ποιες εταιρείες του χώρου και ποιοι άνθρωποι σε στηρίζουν;

Τεράστια στήριξη έχω από την ομοσπονδία μου, την Σκοπευτική Ομοσπονδία Ελλάδος, την Ελληνική Ολυμπιακή Επιτροπή, την Beretta Hellas που μου προσφέρει το καλύτερο αγωνιστικό όπλο, τον κ. Γιαλιτάκη με το Artemis Sport και τα καλύτερα φυσίγγια  στον κόσμο, τα Clever mirage.

Κλείνοντας, γιατί τα νέα παιδιά να στραφούν στο συγκεκριμένο άθλημα; Τι τους προσφέρει;

Προτρέπω όλα τα νέα παιδιά να έρθουν να μάθουν το άθλημα της σκοποβολής γιατί μιλάμε για ένα Ολυμπιακό αγώνισμα με πολύ μεγάλες αξίες. Θα μάθουν να ελέγχουν απόλυτα τον εαυτό τους, το μυαλό τους και το μόνο που μπορούν να κερδίσουν είναι θετικά πράματα, επίσης μιλάμε για ένα πάρα πολύ δύσκολο αγώνισμα που είναι μια μεγάλη πρόκληση. Επομένως, προτρέπω τους γονείς να σκεφτούν σοβαρά το συγκεκριμένο άθλημα για τα παιδιά τους.
