Στους αγώνες που διεξήχθησαν στην Εσθονία, η Ελλάδα είχε διπλή επιτυχία, αφού εκτός από την Άννα Κορακάκη, συμμετείχε και η Χριστίνα Μόσχη, η οποία και κατέκτησε την 4η θέση, εξασφαλίζοντας την πρόκρισή της, στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του Παρισιού.
Στη “μάχη” για το χρυσό μετάλλιο, η Άννα Κορακάκη “πάλεψε” με την Καμίλ Ζεντρεζέφσκι από τη Γαλλία, αλλά μετά από “θρίλερ”, κατάφερε να πάρει την πρώτη θέση και να αναδειχθεί πρωταθλήτρια Ευρώπης.
