Το λαβράκι αποτελεί ένα από τα πιο αγαπημένα ψάρια για την πλειοψηφία των παράκτιων ψαράδων της Μεσογείου και όχι μόνο. Με όποια τεχνική ψαρέματος κι αν ασχολούμαστε, πάντα θα αποτελεί το θήραμα που θέλουμε να πιαστεί στο αγκίστρι μας. Που τα βρίσκουμε;
ΣΕ ΛΙΜΑΝΙΑ
Τα λιμάνια αποτελούν το «νούμερο ένα» σημείο για το ψάρεμά τους, αφού ο συνωστισμός μικρών ψαριών αποτελεί ανεξάντλητη πηγή τροφής, οπότε λογικό είναι να συναντάμε και τον μεγαλύτερο αριθμό λαβρακιών. Το πρώτο πρόβλημα που θα αντιμετωπίσουμε ψαρεύοντας σε κάποιο λιμάνι είναι η ιδιομορφία του τόπου: Η μεγάλη παρουσία σκαφών συνεπάγεται την ύπαρξη πολλών σχοινιών που χρησιμοποιούνται για το δέσιμο των σκαφών. Αν μιλούσαμε μόνο για αυτά, θα ήταν καλά. Όμως υπάρχουν και άλλα εμπόδια που δεν είναι καθόλου ορατά, όπως οι άγκυρες, ή ακόμα και διάφορα άλλα «αντικείμενα» που δεν έχουν καμία θέση στον βυθό ενός λιμανιού. Επίσης, λάστιχα, διάφορα σίδερα, καρέκλες και πολλά άλλα που βρεθήκαν εκεί, είτε από κάποια επισκευή βάρκας είτε από κάποιον ασυνείδητο. Μιλάμε για αντικείμενα που όχι μόνο μάς χαλάνε το ψάρεμα, αλλά το κυριότερο συντελούν στη ρύπανση της θάλασσας. Τα λαβράκια έχουν εξοικειωθεί με την ύπαρξη όλων αυτών των αντικειμένων και εκμεταλλεύονται την παρουσία τους για να μπορέσουν να ξεφύγουν από τα αγκίστρια μας. Αυτό το καταφέρνουν κάνοντας κύκλους γύρω από αυτά με σκοπό να κόψουν την πετονιά μας. Αυτός είναι και ο πιο συχνός λόγος που χάνονται ψάρια στα λιμάνια, ενώ κάποια περιστατικά από ψάρια που πιάστηκαν και είχαν καρφωμένα πολυάγκιστρα ή μικρά αγκίστρια της τεχνικής του εγγλέζικου απλά επιβεβαιώνουν τον κανόνα.
Το δεύτερο πρόβλημα είναι ότι τα «λιμανίσια» ψάρια είναι πολύ πονηρά. Ένα λιμάνι συνήθως αποτελεί έναν τόπο για ψάρεμα με εύκολη πρόσβαση, επόμενο λοιπόν είναι η συχνή παρουσία εργαλείων ψαρέματος να κάνει τα ψάρια ιδιαίτερα επιφυλακτικά ως προς το να τσιμπήσουν το δόλωμά μας. Οι καταλληλότερες ώρες για να τα ψαρέψουμε είναι από το σούρουπο έως και το ξημέρωμα, ώρες που βρίσκονται σε διαρκή αναζήτηση για την τροφή τους, χωρίς όμως να αποκλείουμε την περίπτωση να πιάσουμε ψάρια ακόμα και κατά τη διάρκεια της ημέρας.
Μέσα σε ένα λιμάνι τα λαβράκια βρίσκονται και κινούνται σε συγκεκριμένα σημεία στήνοντας ενέδρες σε μικρά ψάρια. Το πρώτο σημείο είναι ακριβώς πίσω από τις βάρκες που βρίσκονται δεμένες στον μόλο του λιμανιού. Ανάμεσα σε αυτές, κυρίως τις νυχτερινές ώρες, συγκεντρώνονται τα μικρά ψάρια για να προφυλαχτούν. Τα λαβράκια ακολουθούν τη συγκεκριμένη διαδρομή έτσι ώστε να μη γίνονται αντιληπτά από τα μικρόψαρα, με σκοπό να τα στριμώξουν και να τα φάνε. Το δεύτερο σημείο όπου κινούνται, είναι η είσοδος του λιμανιού το άνοιγμα που υπάρχει για να μπαίνουν τα σκάφη μέσα σε αυτό. Εκεί τα ψάρια συνήθως βρίσκονται το σούρουπο και το ξημέρωμα για δύο λόγους: για να μπουν ή να βγουν από το λιμάνι, αλλά και για να κυνηγήσουν τα ψάρια που ακολουθούν το ίδιο δρομολόγιο.
ΣΤΙΣ ΠΑΡΑΛΙΕΣ
Πρώτα από όλα πρέπει να αναφέρουμε ότι λαβράκια δεν θα συναντήσουμε σε όλες τις παραλίες. Για να υπάρχουν ψάρια σε μια παραλία, αυτή θα πρέπει να διαθέτει κάποια χαρακτηριστικά. Συγκεκριμένα, να βρίσκεται σε κοντινή απόσταση από κάποιο λιμάνι ή σε εκβολές ποταμού, ή να διαθέτει μεικτό βυθό με πλάκες, όπου συναντάμε πλήθος μικρών ψαριών. Κατά τη διάρκεια της ημέρας τα ψάρια εγκαταλείπουν τα λιμάνια και κινούνται προς τις παραλίες. Αυτό βέβαια δεν σημαίνει ότι τις βραδινές ώρες δεν υπάρχουν ψάρια. Κινούνται σε όλο το μήκος και το πλάτος της παραλίας, ενώ τα καλύτερα σημεία είναι οι τυχόν αποχές που υπάρχουν ή τα μονόπετρα που εκμεταλλεύονται για να στήσουν το καρτέρι τους. Επίσης, θα τα βρούμε σε πολύ κοντινή απόσταση, μόλις 5-6 μέτρα από την ακτή, όπου και εκεί κυνηγούν μικρά ψάρια. Οι συνθήκες που επικρατούν θα παίξουν σημαντικό ρόλο, αφού όταν επικρατεί έντονος κυματισμός ιδανικός για surf casting και τα νερά είναι θολά, τα ψάρια βρίσκουν την κατάλληλη ευκαιρία για να κυνηγήσουν ακόμα και μέχρι την άκρη του κύματος. Αντιθέτως, όταν επικρατούν συνθήκες ήρεμης θάλασσας, θα τα αναζητήσουμε σε μεγαλύτερες αποστάσεις, όπου το βάθος του νερού είναι μεγαλύτερο.
ΣΤΙΣ ΕΚΒΟΛΕΣ ΤΩΝ ΠΟΤΑΜΩΝ
Οι εκβολές των ποταμών αποτελούν ένα πολύ καλό σημείο όπου συγκεντρώνεται μεγάλος αριθμός ψαριών. Τα δέλτα που σχηματίζονται από τη ροή του νερού θα έλεγα ότι είναι το ιδανικότερο μέρος για τα λαβράκια, αφού μέσα και έξω από αυτά κυκλοφορεί αρκετή τροφή από μικρόψαρα και διάφορους μικροοργανισμούς που παρασέρνουν τα νερά. Επίσης, σε αυτές τις περιοχές εναποθέτουν τα αυγά τους τα ψάρια, ενώ παράλληλα η άγρια μορφολογία της περιοχής και τα πολύ θολά νερά διευκολύνουν πολύ το κυνήγι για την αναζήτηση της τροφής τους. Πριν αναφέρουμε τα σημεία όπου θα αναζητήσουμε λαβράκια, θα πρέπει να γνωρίζουμε ότι η μορφολογία των εκβολών αλλάζει συνεχώς. Δηλαδή, αναλόγως της ποσότητας του νερού που θα κατεβάσει το ποτάμι δημιουργούνται διάφορες μικρές νησίδες, αποχές και δίαυλοι, με αποτέλεσμα τα ψάρια να βρίσκονται κάθε φορά και σε διαφορετικό σημείο. Όταν το ποτάμι κατεβάζει νερό, τότε τα ψάρια βρίσκονται σε απόσταση από 20 έως και 50 μέτρα από την εκβολή, εκεί ακριβώς που τα θολά νερά αρχίζουν να καθαρίζουν. Σε αυτό το σημείο καταλήγουν όλοι οι μικροοργανισμοί που έχουν παρασύρει τα νερά.
Λαβράκι… Ένα πολύ ιδιαίτερο ψάρι που έχει καθηλώσει πάρα πολλούς ψαράδες στα διάφορα μέρη της χώρας μας, οι οποίοι σπαταλούν χρήμα, κόπο και χρόνο με έναν και μόνο σκοπό: την αναμέτρηση μαζί του! Για τις συνήθειες και το ψάρεμά του με όλες τις τεχνικές, έχουν γραφτεί και θα γραφτούν πολλά. Όλα αυτά που ανέφερα παραπάνω προέρχονται από προσωπικές εμπειρίες που έχω αποκομίσει σπαταλώντας ατελείωτες ώρες ψαρέματος, αλλά και από τόσους και τόσους φίλους που μοιράζονται την ίδια τρέλα με μένα για το ψάρεμά του. Ακόμη κάποια από αυτά μού τα μετέδωσαν οι παλιοί ψαράδες, εκείνοι που οσμίζονται τη «λαβρακομέρα» την ώρα που θα ανοίξουν τα μάτια τους το πρωί. Παρ’ όλα αυτά, θα υπάρξουν και περιπτώσεις που δεν συμβαδίζουν με τα λεγόμενά μου. Αυτό συμβαίνει γιατί όλα τα ψάρια εξοικειώνονται και αλλάζουν συνήθειες, όπως και οι άνθρωποι! Φυσικά, αν πάνω στο αγκίστρι σας πέσει και κανένα κλουβίσιο από αυτά που έφυγαν τον Ιανουάριο, τότε σίγουρα και αυτό θα έχει εξοικειωθεί με το περιβάλλον και θα είναι μάλλον τώρα περισσότερο άγριο παρά του κλουβιού.
